June 5, 2024 | 15:00-16:30 CET
The aim of the event is to present the insights on inclusive education practices and teacher education methodologies within the AI era. Most European countries are actively implementing inclusive education prioritising how to meet the diverse educational needs of children.
Although many EU countries have made progress in shifting their focus from a disability perspective to a needs-based education approach for students with special educational needs, including exceptionally gifted students, those with congenital or acquired disorders, or facing disadvantages in their personal living environments, it remains apparent that inclusive education practice demands an even more adaptable and responsive strategies to cater to the diverse and often complex needs of individual learners (Alisauskiene & Harju-Luukainen, 2021; Booth, Ainscow, 2016).
This event will provide insights on inclusive education practices and teacher training for inclusion relying on innovative approaches and strategies, such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL) personalised education supported by digital technologies, and AI tools. In addition, this event will explore the importance of AI tools for enhancing learning opportunities for all.
