How can artificial intelligence be utilized in the development of business operations? How does AI affect skills requirements, and what kind of skills should future employees possess?
The AITO project investigates the impacts and potential uses of AI from the perspective of businesses and various job roles, with a particular focus on the construction, ICT, and media sectors. The project develops AI-related training and strengthens the AI knowledge of staff members.
The role of the Finnish eLearning Centre in the project
What is artificial intelligence? How is it used? What skills are currently required to utilize AI?
We identify and map the changes that AI brings to job roles, work descriptions, and the skills required for these tasks. As a result, a comprehensive situational analysis will emerge, showing how AI is transforming working life across different industries.
How will AI utilization change professional skill requirements and university study modules?
We design new content for the teaching of common subjects in vocational education (e.g., mother tongue, mathematics, sustainable development) to ensure that the education system meets the challenges of the future working life.
We are responsible for the internal evaluation of the project throughout its duration. We ensure that project activities remain of high quality, that collaboration between different organizations runs smoothly, and that internal communication is transparent.
This work is conducted in close cooperation with the project partners and participating companies, utilizing participatory methods.
